To remove Graphite and Pattern Transfer Tool lines you must use the Tombow Sand Eraser! Imported from Japan, this is not your ordinary ink eraser. It is the only eraser that removes these types of pattern lines. For delicate areas, use the Faber-Castell Ink Eraser Pencil.

If you design your project with pencil your lines left can easily be removed with the Staedler eraser. If you use the Pattern Transfer tool the lines are harder to remove. Then you need the Tombow Sand Eraser. It will remove any left over pattern lines on your project. Use care around sharp edges and small delicate carvings. It takes a bit longer but it works great.

One of the best things to happen to my carving!I’m one of those people who are forever re-detailing patterns, right up til the moment before my knife hits that particular part. With this Sand Eraser from Tombow, any marks that I make–provided, of course, that they aren’t *too* dark!–come right off! I plan to invest in several more of these, so I don’t worry so much about losing the only one I have!GREAT item!

I use graphite paper for tracing if I do lettering, custom logos etc. and my carving life would be way harder without this eraser. It removes any leftover graphite lines with ease, regular eraser just smudges those.
