These picture frames are perfect to carve and insert a photograph, certificate, note, or other item you wish to preserve and display.
Each frame includes glass and easel.
4×6 frame, 1.5″ basswood, 6.5″ x 8.5″ outside dimensions
5×7 frame, 2″ basswood, 8.5″ x 10.5″ outside dimensions
8-1/2″ x 11″ Combo Frame fits 8″ x 10″ certificate with mat or fits 8-1/2″ x 11″ without mat
8″ x 10″ frames also include a mat that can be used to mount a 5″ x 7″ photo in the 8″ x 10″ frame.
Some of the chip carved samples were done by a My Chip Carving member.

Pattern application is available!

Please note: These picture frames are mass produced and as a result the miters are not perfectly tight and the basswood isn’t always perfectly clear. While we seek to maintain high quality with all of our products, the affordable frame pricing does affect the quality of this item.

We can make perfect frames for you if desired. Glass, matting and backer not included. Contact us for custom frames.

I’ve only ordered one, so I don’t know if they’re consistent, but the frame I got was a little lackluster in the joints. 3 of the 4 corners had actual gaps. The pattern I used involved cutting across the corners, so the gaps in the wood just exacerbated the already-difficult task of cutting through a joint. The design also has thin lines around the corners, and the gaps kind of detract from that. It’s not awful, just not what I would have hoped for.
My frame also happened to have a bit of a bad spot — not really a full-on knot, but definitely a hard spot with some weird grain to it. Again, not ideal, but it’s wood, a natural product, so it can’t all be perfect.
