I have been carving for a few years, and while I am am an advance novice carver, but still trying to get the chips out in one piece ! Until now, I have been carving Santa's, snowmen, a few woodspirits, canes, and the like. I am a member of a local woodcarving club - we are mostly retired women and men that enjoy each other's company, and teach soap carving to kids and beginning wood carving to teens and adults at local events. I have done a few chip carvings - mostly ornaments, and some carvings on boxes. I enjoy the geometry of chip carvings, and look forward to getting a chip out in one piece!!
