This basswood plate was stained with a nut-coloured stain. I applied it with a thin sponge, which resulted in a more uniform look than hitherto with a brush. I had some chip out and some I was able to glue back, but some not (which was too small to handle, so I decided to live with the imperfection ;o)). I drew the design (following W. Barton’s patterns) on paper, then drew it on the plate itself.
