    Here’s my latest plate. I found this pattern a while back and decided to give it a try on a scooped plate. I think it came out pretty good. The stain is a base coat of MW Ipswich Pine penetrating with a second coat of Varathane Premium Early American that was rubbed with a dry cloth to remove any excess. Then one coat of Deft spray lacquer, a light sanding with 320 followed by two good coats of lacquer.
