my name is Douglas Jones and I reside in Carrollton, TX. I have been a woodworker for some years doing mostly turning, flat work and boxes. I have done a couple of commissioned projects but want to add chip carving to my repertoire. So when the new membership deal came along, seemed like the perfect opportunity to learn something new (I am also interested in spoon carving and kolrosing). I travel for business and tend to spend quite a bit of time in Germany. When I am gone for 3 – 4 weeks at a time, hip carving seemed like the perfect hobby to fill my time.
Looking forward to learning a great deal from Marty and the folks here.
