Hello community. My name is Dennis. I’m newly retired and find myself wanting to keep my hands from being the devil’s workshop. I’ve always been artistically inclined and have been doodling since grade school. Spent 2 years at the Des Moines Art Center on a scholarship in 1971-72. It was always in the background because, ‘life happened’. I found myself looking at woodcarving and whittling lately as a great way to pass time and relax. I’ve always been intrigued by beautiful woodwork from masters that are now long gone. This is my way of learning how to keep that alive to inspire myself and others to enjoy. I hope to make some friends along the way that have the same feelings that I do. Thanks for letting me be here.
