Hi, My name is David. I’m 36 years old. Over the last several months I’ve developed a major interest in wood carving. I was working on things like making characters etc, but found that to be quite frustrating and quite dangerous. I stabbed myself in the hand with a 7/8″ gouge and had to get 3 stitches. Then I found this site. I have fallen in love with chip carving. I’m quite honestly not very good at the moment, but I can see myself improving little by little. I absolutely love chip carving, and I want to thank you, Marty, for your wonderful tutorials, classes and patterns. I love the ezboard to practice on. I have already bought quite a bit, and I need to buy more when I get paid again on the first!:)
Hi David, I’m David. Welcome to the group. I’ve been part of it for about 3 months & am enjoying it myself. I’m 64 and live in Oklahoma. As far as I know, I’m the only Okie in the bunch. Be sure to join in Marty’s monthly webinar on Zoom. It’s quite enjoyable watching him carve & picking up his tips.
