I enjoy watching the NFL playoffs but I enjoy them more when chip carving during the games.
This picture frame is almost done. You like?
I know you’ll enjoy carving these patterns. The TAT102316 Candle Dish Pattern is one that I created last year but forgot to post. This pattern could also be used on a 6″ plate of almost any style. Also, the Pattern Wizard file makes it easy to resize and change the pattern to whatever project you’re carving.
The cross pattern was shown in the recent E-letter as it was carved by Andre Gotia. It would fit nicely on a 4″ basswood or butternut disc! Glad to share it with you!

Using Pattern Wizard I took the 4×6 cormir frame pattern and converted it to an 8×10 frame.
If you have the PW software I also added the SGP file for this new size pattern. If you don’t have the PW, get it HERE.
This sure is a nice pattern to carve and results in a great frame.

This new collection includes 44 of Tatiana’s newest Patterns. Even though these patterns were used on boxes, you can use them on whatever item you wish! And they are even more flexible than earlier patterns because they also include the Pattern Wizard file for each pattern!
If you don’t have the Pattern Wizard software, now is the time!
(Pattern Wizard will work on a Mac when running a virtual PC desktop. I have directions on how to do this.)

In the most recent E-letter I mentioned about asking and receiving. This morning I got a request for this 12″ plate pattern. Just so happens I had time this morning to create the pattern and get it posted. How’s that for prompt! :-). Enjoy your day today!
You’ll find it in two formats as usual

If you’ve looked at the cross patterns in either Collection 1 or 2 you will see this leaf shape in many of the patterns carved by Barry McKenzie. A friend and Platinum Member asked me the other day how to carve this shape so it made for the perfect opportunity to create this video. I doesn’t hurt to ask!

A request was made in class this week that I create the pattern as shown in my book on page 62.
The request has been granted and the Adobe pattern (pdf) and Pattern Wizard file (SGP) are now available.
This pattern can be used as is for the 10″ wall clock or resized for a wide variety of projects including plates, plaques and discs.
