If you’ve watched any chip carving videos I’ve created you know that I end each one saying, “Introduce a kid to chip carving.”
This doesn’t mean we should ONLY introduce kids to our wonderful craft. Friends, relatives and acquaintances of all ages should be introduced!
This past Saturday I introduced two friends and Shelley to woodworking as I taught them how to make a picture frame. Making a frame with tight mitered corners is not an easy first project. In spite of the challenge, in just a few hours they had created beautiful red elm frames. I made the sample from basswood so I could carve it 🙂
