Quick question for you.
If I were to get some natural edge basswood boards from my mill, would you be interested in purchasing a board or two?
I need to know if it is worth my time to add some of these boards to my stock. I don’t know the price yet but I’m guessing it will be slightly more than milled edge basswood. Reply to this email if interested or post a reply in the comments below.
Jim sent me photos of the carved tops of 3 custom boxes I made for him. One is butternut and the other two are basswood. The chip carved borders frame the shallow relief very nicely! Well done, Jim
I went to my mill this morning to pick up a basswood log to cut and turn into bowls for chip carving. Of course I couldn’t leave with just one log, right! 😉
I found some nice basswood and butternut boards that I’m sure to find a good use for. If you have some project ideas or want me to make you something, let me know.
Rope border & Napkin holder patterns added
Several have asked about having a rope border available. I created the Pattern Wizard file for a rope border. It’s best to have it as PW because you can adapt the size to your project. CLICK HERE for the patterns
The patterns for Napkin Holder with Base are now available. I didn’t mention in the recent E-letter that the Napkin Holder is easily assembled with 4 screws. No glue needed. Look below to see this assembly.
Look below to see what the Napkin Holder patterns look like when they’re carved.
